This guy kind of has a point. Amidst all of the hoop-la surrounding Kanye West's "Graduation" and 50 Cent's "Curtis" both dropping on the ubiquitous 9/11, everyone forgot that country crooner Kenny Chesney drops his latest record "Just Who I am" Poets & Pirates" on the same day. Chesney's last four albums have all debuted at #1 on Billboard, and his last, "The Road and the Radio" actually duped the debut of 50's "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" soundtrack when they both battled in 2005. Although Kenny Chesney has never fully reached the heights of the top debuts from 50 (1.14 million) or Kanye (860,000), if you consider demographic tastes might easily split when both CDs are released, that might dilute the sales from both hip-hop acts and serve the country community well in saying a grand "FUCK YOUUUU!!!!!" to all of hip-hop.
I'm hoping he doesn't, just because it's like watching King Kong getting defeated by the guy who does the Apple commercials, but it'll be pretty funny nonetheless. Two more days; we'll keep up with this one.
